Olivia

Dad and Liv enjoying a rain storm

Livie eating Popcorn while watching the movie 'Babe'
I told her to smile... that's what she came up with!

Walking down the stairs.. she's pretty good these days. It still gives me a lot of anxiety though..

Livie actually posing how I told her too! She wouldn't smile though.

Okay.. Who is it!?

Who is voting that I am having twins!? I just want to know if this is serious, or a joke... I mean, I suppose I really could be, I haven't had an ultra sound and I've only heard a heartbeat once... so there is no saying. I'm just wondering who these pranksters are... Oh- and I'll have the video up soon Ma, I just need to figure out how to edit it. Sorry.

How the Pros do it!

You may be wondering to yourself... How does that crrrazy Sarah read ALL those blogs!? (seeing as I have a LOT of links... yes, I'm just popular with friends, what can I say? ;)
ANYWAY...
Well, there is this awesome thing called FEEDREADER. You enter in ALL your links and then it tells you when someone has updated their blog. Oh sooo handy. You never have to keep checking a blog to see if they've updated.. It's a lifesaver and TIME saver!
Just thought you might want to know.. in case you too were tired of looking at blogs that were un-updated!
Unfortunatly most of you don't have a computer genius husband that will install it for you and show you how to use it...Sadly you only have me to try to tell you over blogger. Yup- maybe you should just call Brett!!

Memories

My friend Natalie did this on her blog, and I thought it was neat, so I'm gonna do it on mine!
Here are the rules:
1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I (or you and Brett... or both!) had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember (as long as its nice)!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

Aren't memories fun! Can't wait to see...

Baby Update

Well, I am just over 4 months now. I'm still not showing much, just enough to make me look chubby- brother... I often think that I would like to wear a shirt saying "that little bump is a baby, not just dinner" but... whatever. I will be pregnant looking soon enough! We find out the sex of the baby August 7. I really feel like it is a boy. I don't know why. Brett thinks it is probably a girl. He feels that he will be cursed with all girls since he wants a boy to rough-house with and go to sporting events with... I can't wait to know! I am pretty sure I have felt the little babe kick once or twice. It is exciting. Olivia knows there is a baby in my tummy, but when I ask if there is one in her tummy too she replies "mmm hmm". So- I don't think she really understands what's coming ;) She has decided that she really LOVES babies lately though. Hopefully she will love her brother/sister just as much! I have my doubts... but I am hoping for the best!

Latest Pictures

Here's the latest pictures I've taken this past week. I've really been pondering taking a photography class to make my average skills become something great... but I'm scared. I'm scared it will be boring, and scared it will cost a lot and I won't get much out of it and be taking the same pictures as before...

I need another manual!

I have to teach relief society on Sunday.... Ugh. Who ever thought a 23 year old could teach a room full of smart, very experienced mothers all older then I, must be CRAZY!! I have taught 5 year olds, but that is the extent of my experience, and there was a great manual that told you exactly what to teach and where to find it! For relief society theres nothing but a book with some quotes in it! Brother! luckily there are a LOT of on-line resources... but still, I wish it were easier!

Where's my manual?

So- I have been thinking a lot lately... Where is the book that tells you simple answers, like what do I do when Olivia has a 2 hour crying tantrum over nothing? What to do when Livie says new words and I can't understand, so she throws yet another tantrum? etc. How are you supposed to punish an almost 2 year old that doesn't understand time-outs or getting her dolly or privileges taken away? Olivia has really hit the 'TERRIBLE TWOS' and yes, I am starting to understand why they call them terrible. When she is happy, napped, and fed she couldn't be more fun to be around. It seems like as soon as she decides she wants gum, pop sickles, or treats and can't have them she turns into a raging little monster. There appears to be no reasoning with her.. "Liv you can have it after dinner" "Olivia, how bout we go on a walk, read a book, play dollies..." Olivia's response when in tantrum mode "GUM! GUM! TREATS!" as she cries and screams as if being tortured. It usually ends up that we ignore her, which seems to make things worse, but really, what do you do? We have given in when it's REALLY REALLY bad, but most of the time I don't because I don't want her thinking the tantrum will get her what she wants. I'm just confused. How come other children don't have these crazy tantrums, I'm pretty sure I don't wail and cry on the floor if I can't have a treat, although Brett may disagree ;) Where is she learning this!? Are some kids just born with it!? Is is punishment from God because I did this to my mother when I was little!? Probably...

Pee Pee in the Potty!

Olivia just went pee pee in her little potty all by herself tonight! We have her toilet in the bathroom, and I was in there doing my own thing (yes, even I'm potty trained!) Anyway- she insisted I undress her and take off her "dopper" (diaper) so she could sit on her potty next to me. She loves to do this, but usually nothing comes of it. But tonight she sat down and 2 seconds later I hear tinkling in the toilet! We cheered for her and gave her a treat right away. She danced around naked and was SO proud of herself! Hopefully this is signs of things to come... we'll see!

4th of July

Yes, it's true, I'm still alive and thought I'd actually post some blogs. We've been busy- a little too busy for my taste, but hopefully things should be slowing down soon. For the 4th we went to see the hot air balloon take off at 6:30 am. After the balloons we went to a parade. We came home and all napped then had a BBQ and some small fireworks out front. We shared most of the day with Brett's brother and wife (Scott and Britta) We had a fun day- it's nice to relax with family!

What a Blessing

My Dad got baptized last Sunday. We are so happy and proud of him. I know families are eternal- and I am so happy to be apart of such an exceptional one.

in case you were wondering...

that last post was posted by my mom. She was accidently signed in under my name.... that's why the 'I's and ' "my parents" kind of stuff doesn't really make sense! I will post some of my own soon!
