Latest News

I am stunned.. Little baby Claire has yet to show up. Olivia was 1 week and 1 day early. I thought this baby would be EARLIER then her... apparently she has other plans. Tomorrow (3 days from my due date) I will have my membranes stripped. You can look that one up if you don't know what I'm talking about. If there is still no baby I will be induced January 2. The day after my due date. The Doc says if I don't want a C-section we shouldn't let her get too big (but I am not fond of inducing BEFORE the due date...) So, that's the latest- hoping she comes some time tomorrow... I will be sure to post pics and updates again soon! Oh- p.s. I am SOO happy she didn't come Christmas! What a good little babe!

Just in case you were wondering...

No, there is no baby here yet. I am a little disappointed she has not come yet. I was really hoping for the 17th, 18th, 19th, 20th, or 21st. Aaaah rats. Now it is just getting TOO CLOSE to Christmas. Poor Poor little baby. From now on I will be crossing my legs and hoping for January... or December 29th and then on.

Meeting Santa

waiting for her turn.. Almost there!

a little shy... (notice the tight grip on Daddy's jacket!)

warming up a bit...

So happy she made it through, and even got candy! YUMM!!

Olivia got to meet Santa tonight. She did rather well considering her fear of new people. She can be pretty shy. As you can see, there was definitely no sitting on or near the man, but she did tell him a few things. She said she would like a Barbie for Christmas and she said Thank you and Merry Christmas!

Here is my belly at almost exactly 38 weeks. I had my appointment today. I am now dilated to a 3 and 90% affaced. Oh, and I can feel it! I hope hope hope she makes her way into this word before Christmas Day. Our bags are now packed for the hospital and Livies is packed for where ever she ends up! She made sure to pack toys and books (just incase Emmies took her since she has no toys at her house!) Emmies- don't worry she would still LOOOOOVE to go to your house and talks about you 90% of the time she's talking. ;) She loves her Auntie!

Twilight Movie

Here's a link to Bella's Lullaby. Apparently this isn't the song used in the video, but I thought it was quite beautiful! So, the movie... What does every one think?! I was kinda disappointed really. I thought the books were sooo much better. But, that's alright. The first time Edward spoke... UGH, he sounded kinda gay (yes, that is mean...) I thought for sure the movie was ruined after that. His voice got better though, and it ended up being alright, but I must say, the boy is much more attractive when he doesn't speak or smile...Just my opinion though! I am hoping the next movies will be better quality with a bigger budget. We'll see!

Doughnut making

So- this last Sunday we decided to make doughnuts! Yumm! Olivia had fun making and playing in the dough. It is fun that she is old enough to 'help' now. She pours in the ingredients, helps stir (with the helping hand of mommy) and taste tests- even the flour. Turns out flour doesn't taste that great ;) We watched the Christmas devotional and had fun eating our doughnuts and listening to our prophet. Olivia made sure to point out Monson every time he was on the screen and say "LOVE HIM!"
Since Sunday- Livie makes doughnuts in the bath with Barbie. She's quite the cook in the bath these days!

Baby Update

Well- today I went in for another Dr's appointment. The little babe seems to be doing very well. My tummy has been measuring really small and they have seemed a little concerned about this, So, today the Dr took me in to do an ultra-sound to make sure little Claire was not too tiny. She measures about 6 lbs. 3 oz. as of today, so she is right on schedule. She should be right around the same size as Live when she is born- of course depending on how early/late she is. Her head is REALLY far down and ready to push on out- so it hopefully shouldn't be long! I am dialated to 2 1/2 and 80% affaced. I feel 9 months pregnant. There is no denying how uncomfortable the last few months are! I can't wait to hold her and snuggle her! We are excited!!

Pedicures

Before... (above)

After... (below)

Olivia gets a monthly pedicure. "Lucky Girl" (that is how Olivia refers to herself when she gets her way) She has been getting her pedicures since she was about 1 years old. She LOVES to get her toes painted- although she really dislikes getting her nails clipped. So- in order to get those nasty little toes and fingers clipped (they get so sharp, long and dirty...) I bribe her with some polish when we are done clipping! When we were done today she said "SOO Pretty!" We only do toes, since finger nails are sure to not dry fast enough (we would definitely have polish every where!) Anyway... just for the records- here are some fun things about Liv:

-The other day I had gotten up from the couch and was wobbling to the kitchen to make lunch. After sitting I often grunt and wobble from the pains of a big belly and sore back. I look behind me and Olivia is holding her tummy and wobbling along behind me! She and I laughed about it for awhile. She is so funny- and she knows it!

-While eating our pizza at lunch the other day Olivia started to pull off the little pieces of sausages and putting them on my plate. I said "you don't like them?" She pointed to the sausages and said "turtle poop!" I laughed and laughed, so of course Livs had to add to it and she called her cheese "turtle peeps" She just thought she was hilarious. The odd thing is that she has never scene a real turtle and I'm sure never turtle poop!

-A few months ago Livie picked up her scriptures and starting 'reading'. She proceeded to say "God said...hdjsahfkjash" then she would flip the page and say it again "God said... blah blah" The rest after "God said" was just mumble jumble made up words. Ever since that has been her way of scripture reading.

-We were looking at pictures in the Book of Mormon- you know how they have just a few in the front... anyway- she sees the picture of Jesus and I ask "Who's that?" She says "Jesus" and then a minute later says "Love him!" What a sweet pea! Some how she can always recognize Jesus in any picture and always talks about how either she loves him, or how he loves her. Some times it honeslty makes me wonder if she really does remember Jesus a tiny bit from Heaven.. just maybe!

-Today I was vaccuming all the rooms in the house and Livie was following me around as I went. After I vaccumed her room she says "Thanks Mom!" How sweet it that!? I am getting thanks from a 2 year old. It's always nice to be appreciated! She proceeded to tell me after vaccumig my room "Doin good!" She got lots of hugs for being so sweet!

-Olivia got to see her cousins Sam and Benjamin for Thanksgiving this year. I was really surprised to see how much she LOVED her cousins. Sam and her played together really well. While in the car together Sam and Olivia laughed for about 40 mintues over nothing. They would look at each other and laugh and laugh and laugh. Olivia was so good with baby Benjamin too. She wanted to hold him lots and give him lots of love. She loved every minute she spent with him. It made me happy to know she is no longer jealous of babies and no longer tries to hit them when I hold them. She was nothing but sweet to little Ben. She talks about holding and seeing Ben again constantly. We tell her she will get to see and hold baby Claire really soon and she seems pretty excited about it!

I stole this picture from Kristen's blog! You can just see how happy little Ben makes Olivia!

Family Pictures

Well- on Sunday I thought we would take some family pictures... This one caught us all off guard- we weren't ready yet. hahaha, Now you know what it takes to get a 'good' picture... we most definitely won't be using this one for our Christmas cards!! Isn't it amazing how much friendlier we look with a smile!?
