I love pictures...

The pictures are finally up.. I'm sure no one was missing them, but I was ;)

Olivia LOVES giving kisses lately. We all love to get them. She especially loves frenchies (she thinks it's funny to stick out her tongue with a kiss... I'll have to watch out with this girl!)

Olivia loved Grammy and Papa. They loved showering her with attention. I have pretty great parents. My mom gives great advice and is a wonderful Grandmother. Hopefully they know how much we really do love and miss them when we are away.

We get to visit with Amy this trip home. Unfortunately we didn't get to see Kim and Lindsay, but I'm sure I'll see them again soon. Anyway- I love Amy. She is such a joy to be around. She brings SO much excitement and enthusiasm to any conversation. I love that we can talk about anything and still feel comfortable. I know she won't judge me, but just feel compassion. She is an amazing friend. I feel blessed to have her in my life.

A bit of Bad Luck

Well, we are HOME! It always feels so nice to be back to normal routine again. Unfortunately, I didn't have much luck on our flight home. First, we spilled our juice on the plane into the bag of plane cookies making a very ugly puke looking mess on the floor. oops. Then Brett showed up 1/2 late- not because of his OWN fault, but because he was watching and waiting on a screen outside the airport to tell him we had landed. I guess they didn't update it until half hour LATE! It was very frustrating waiting for luggage with Olivia by ourselves. Plus, Brett forgot his cell phone so I was imagining him dead on the road somewhere leaving us husbandless and stranded at the airport. It was an awful thought. So, Brett got there and I felt like things would be okay and I decided to just be happy even I was upset and stressed. So, I had 1 bag and our carseat and we kept Waiting, and waiting and waiting for the other bag to come. Well, it never did. They LOST our luggage! Now can I say I am mad at Southwest!? ;) So, we filled out a claim. LUCKILY (maybe I'm not TOO unlucky) they called this morning saying they found my bag. Well, the card-reader that I use to look at our pictures on this compueter is in that suitcase, so there will be no pictures until I get my bag. Hopefully it will arrive today. So, all in all, I was pretty stressed last night, mostly because I don't like traveling, but it all turned out okay. Now, I just hope they don't give me someone elses bag! (negative thinking, I know... I'm sure they will get it right ;))

Pictures in Oregon

It snowed today here in Oregon (pretty rare to get so much!) It looks SO beautiful with all the trees! It also got church cancelled. Actually I was pretty happy about that since church was at Liv's nap time. She's already a crab at church, and I am glad we don't have to take care of a crabby, tired girl at church. This really IS a vacation! hehe.

Grammy and Papas Fish

Woohoo, we finally made it on Tuesday! The trip wasn't too bad, and not nearly as long, so it was worth it! We are leaving next Wednesday instead of Friday since it was such a SHORT time. I'm SO glad to not go back to the airport tomorrow (it feels like we were just there!) Although, I didn't pack for 5 more days, good thing we have a washer and dryer!

3 AM

SOOOOO, today was "pretty much the worst day of my life" as Nopoleon Dynamite would say.. It all started at 3 am when we got up to drive to the airport. The weather is BAAAAD. It was a snow storm this morning and predicted to get 6-10'' of snow. Which, I think we did. So, the drive to the airport was about 2 hours instead of 1. Not TOO bad all things considered. Now, Brett had a business trip to San Diego at 6 am, and Liv and I were going to Oregon at 9 am. I was NOT excited about waiting in the airport for 3 hours, but that's just how it worked out. So, Brett got on a plane as soon as we arrived and Liv and I sat around playing, eating, watching people catch planes, playing chase, saying "hi hi hi hi" to just about everyone and entertaining all in the airport for 3 hours. FINALLY it was 9:00. Our flight was delayed... That wasn't TOO bad right, I mean we had been there for 3 hours anyways, we could handle another half hour. Well, about an hour and a half later (or so) they announced our flight was cancelled due to bad waether. So, after being told that the only other flights going to Portland I would have to fly "standby" OR not getting in until 9:30 pm, we decided to book a flight for tomorrow and go home. Also, there were NO garauntees the other flights wouldn't be cancelled either. I couldn't beleive it! After 8 hours of traveling we are NO where but where we started! AARRRRRRRRR! I am SOOO frustrated about it. I HATE traveling to begin with and no we have to do it AGAIN tomorrow. On top of it all, I was not wearing snow shoes so my feet were soaking wet and FREEEZING. I really thought my feet might fall off. Oh brother, it was NOT a fun day. BUT on the bright side, Olivia was SOO good most of the time. She did fall and scream for awhile and she did reach her hand into her poop while I was changing her diaper (aaah, so sick), but all in all considering she was up since 3, she did AMAZING! I was lucky to have her to keep me company. Well, wish me luck tomorrow. I will die if we don't get to Oregon tomorrow!
Also, since I AM complaining... I am REALLY sad that we didn't get to go today because my parents had booked a beach house for tonight and now we won't get to stay in it. We might not go to the beach at all since it's 2 and a half hours there and then 2 hours back to Eugene. I just don't know. South West RUINED our plans!

We're Come'n' BACK!

We'll be in Oregon again Monday January 21- Friday January 25. It's not too long, but we would like to visit as many as possible! We will actually be at the coast on Monday and Tuesday- so that really only leaves Wednesday and Thursday since Friday we will be going to the airport...Anyways-Like the picture we got for free at Kiddie Kandids tonight?!

Craft Party!

My neighbor Natalie invited us over today to make clippies for our little girls hair! Have I mentioned how much we love our neighbors? They are awesome! Now, Hannah,(the neighbor baby) has quite a bit of hair for all of her bows, but Livie still doesn't have much. BUT considering it was like 1 mm long when she was born, she's not doing too bad! We LOVE our new little clips. I LOVE making little craft projects too. It's so fun! Now... if only we had some more hair to put them in...

Self Portraits

I made Livie some new headbands today- they are adjustable so I can tighten or loosen them! Cool, huh. I made 4, so these are just 2 of them which happen to look quite alike!

Growing up, I was infamous for taking my own picture (it's how I became a little more photogenic! although, not so much in this photo!) Look at me now.. still taking my own picture, but now with a cute little baby girl in my lap!

Olivia: Age 17 months
Last night for dinner: 1/2 a steak, a potatoe, and a whole piece of wheat bread. After dinner she was STILL hungry. She got a string cheese. I can't believe the amounts that girl eats. She's crazy!

The love of CHEESE!

One of Olivia's all time FAVORITE snacks is string cheese! She LOVES it so much she could eat it all day long! She usually gets 2 a day... Her other favorite snack is mandarin oranges. It is sad that they are not a year-round fruit. She generally will eat 2-3 of these a day! (they are small, and I do help her eat them!) They are so delicious, we LOVE them!

Old Photos

So, we finally have a scanner/printer and I thought I'd scan in some old pictures... I know I have more that would be funner, but just for fun these are the ones I found in our bedroom.

Me, Ma, and Olivia together. I like this picture! The 3 generations!

This is Miss BLONDE Sarah in Beauty School. OH, the things you do to your hair in Beauty School! I'm not so sure I like this picture, but it's different! (I imagine if I were a vampire like in Twilight this is what I would look like, hehe!)

Brett in high-school with his friends..

Brett on his mission in Quebec, eating his FAVORITE mission food- poutine. (I doubt that's spelled right) Brett you may leave a comment explaining that food!
