Panty Hose

Olivia has really been into getting different clothes on and modeling them for me. This one was the latest! She put on MY panty hose and shoes. Not only does she put them on, but she walks around strutting her stuff and will even dance (see pic below) She is so funny.

YEA for me!

Today I decided it was time to put together our 72 hour kits. You may wonder why after 4 years this has not been done. Well- I thought it would cost tons of money and I was intimidated! I receieved $100 total in Christmas money and I thought a lot about the many cool things I could buy with it....

In the end I decided I NEEDED to buy stuff for our 72 hour kits, so that is what the money was spent on! Some day I will buy new clothes or a nice video camera, or.... ;)
It was pretty fun really. I got together a list of stuff I needed to purchase and went to Wal-Mart. We already had back-packs I got from D.I. to put everything in, and I had also already purchased random stuff here and there to put in our 72 kits, so after all the previous investments I spent a total of $115. I pretty much bought EVERY thing for 4 people. So, really it was not near as bad as I thought it would be! It does help that I got some great deals on a few of the pricey items!

I have not done food yet. I have done 72 hour kit foods in the past, but now they are all pretty much expired so I need to do it again. That will probably be another $50 or more to do all the food. I don't really know since I've never done it on my own. I will tackle food later. Hopefully not too much later.
All in all I feel so much better about having our backpacks almost all ready to go. It will sure be nice if anything does happen!

Tag!

1. Open your first picture folder

2. Upload the 10th picture in the folder

3. Tell us the story behind the picture

4. Tag 5 friends to do the same.
This picture was when we went to Bridal Veil Falls some time in July I think of 2007. We went to have a picnic while my parents were visiting, but couldn't build a fire due to fire regulations at the time. That is me (Sarah) and Olivia, incase you can't tell. ;)

LOL

This morning I jogged/walked on the tread-mill & listened and danced to "You Sexy Thing". It really raised my self-esteem as I imagined them singing it to ME!

So- How do you raise your spirits!?

Sometimes I say dumb things

I was just reading a blog about someone being offended... and it got me thinking. I can say the dumbest things sometimes. So... to all of you who I MAY have offended, I am sorry! I generally mean no harm, but things come out all wrong sometimes. I think my worst comments are when I tell pregnant ladies "You're getting so big!" I do NOT mean fat, ugly, wide, chunky... I MEAN the BABY is growing and that is awesome!! I have said many insensitive things of this nature... I think I also ask questions that may be private. Dang it!! So, if I ever say something dumb to you- please tell me.. nicely!! That way I don't make someone else mad and say it again!
You all do this too, right!? (Although I'm not sure I've ever been too offended by these types of things- that is probably why I do it. I just don't realize it hurts feelings or makes people uncomfortable!)

Oh Olivia!

My Livie is so full of life.
She is the ultimate girly girl. She puts on her bright red lipstick- every day 4 times a day.
She must wear dresses, and throws fits when I make her wear pants.
She is sensitive.
She will love and snuggle one minute and push and hit and the next.
She loves to dance. She's been dancing since she could move!
She is becoming a little bossy- must be the 'Princess' in her.
She is very expressive- both with her facial expressions and her personality.
She loves to eat. We sometimes call her a camel because she'll eat tons one day and the next not want anything.
She can be bribed to do pretty much anything if she can have a treat.
She is stubborn. Change is NOT something she enjoys. Potty training, new beds, sleep training, new sisters, are all things that were some what H-E-... okay, I won't go there. but they were very difficult for Liv, and I.
She makes me SO happy.
She also makes me SOO mad!
She is mischivious- although at 3 who isn't!?
She has quite the imagination.
She gives the best hugs and kisses you may ever get.
All in all, I LOVE this girl!!

1 Year

Claire got a mini Barbie cake since she is mini! It was so much easier to make then the large one!

Weight: 20 lbs (41%)
Height: 30''(93%)
Head Circumference: 18 inches (51%)

I can't belive she is a year! I would say where did my baby go, but she still feels like a baby to me. Funny because with Liv I thought she was so grown up at 1. We still call Claire the baby. She is ALMOST walking. She can stand by herself, she is just not brave enough to take steps by herself! According to the Dr and the questionaire I filled out about her she is above average on her developements! Way to go Claire! She really is a GOOOD baby/toddler! She sleeps by herself, puts up with a lot of beatings from her sister, and will play quietly by herself most of the time (like right now she is playing blocks on the treadmill-don't worry she can not turn it on!) She is so sweet and has some cute quirks. She makes funny noises. We love the girl!
