Ridiculous

We have to wash the car IN our front yard. Yup- that is right, there are no water spouts near our driveway and since we don't have 2 hoses to link together- we have to wash in our yard! The neighbors probably wonder what is going on!

Avas Tea Party

(pictures added later)

So- I read this blog... probably one of my FAVORITE blogs. Her name is Sheye. She writes SO eloquently and takes absolutely breathe-taking photos. I wish to be like her some day ;) Anyway- a few years back her dear sweet 3 yr old daughter passed away. Tomorrow- she is having a tea-party in her honor. I thought it was such a sweet idea. So- we will be having a tea party in Ava's honor tomorrow. Just thought I'd let others know if they wanted to join in on the fun.

Olivias' Room

So- when Livie was potty training one of her incentives was that if she filled a chart with stickers she could paint her room. We painted it a lovely purple! I am scared of color, but I really liked how the purple turned out.

For Livs Birthday she got this beautiful tree (Target $12) I originally wanted her to have a white tree painted on, but it never worked out... Anyway- she also got her "Dorothy Witch" (Wizard of Oz) pictures from Grandma (Thai Pan Trading $1.50 each) for her Birthday also. Olivia loves that movie.

So- that's that! I really need to get her bedding and curtains... Some day when we have some more money (or maybe Christmas!)

My Dearest Amy

So- My good friend Amy has cancer... She has Hodgkin's Lymphoma. It was in her spleen, and now she is going through chemo to kill any remaining cancer. Amy has been SO positive and really doing quite well with the whole 'cancer' thing. I think the chemo is really starting to get to her now though. She feels REALLY sick now, and is having a hard time seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. I can only imagine. If you've ever had severe nausea and just plain sick- just double it and try to think of it not going away until December. YIKES! I am not sure what I can do for her, except ask for more prayers in her behalf. She needs them.
Amy- I love you SO much, I think about you LOTS. You will get through this.

This is Amy and her bald head.. She is still so beautiful!

Here is her HUGE cancerous spleen. I believe a spleen is supposed to be like the size of your fist.

Party!

Olivia turns 3 on the 15th of August, but we had a party for her a little early this year. My mom was in town, so she got an early party!

This was the scooter Olivia has been dreaming of for months now. She has waited and waited so patiently to get it. She even cut all her binkies to get it! It has not been an easy transition to being binky-less. She regrets her decision!

Here is her Barbie cake I made her. It is not as beautiful as I had dreamed.. nor as easy as I thought! Note to self- do not buy frosting color yellow just because it is on sale! I wish it were prettier colors... There were many hard-ships making this cake... having to make 2 cakes, Barbie tipping over, frosting melting off... Barbie being too tall, ugly Lakers color frosting... etc.

Goose Egg

We were at an out-door concert listening to 'Voice Male'... enjoying ourselves. Then, I asked Brett to get the blanket from the car so Claire could try to sleep.

Well- Olivia went for a joy-ride! Daddy ran with her in the stroller, and BAM hit a bump. Well- Olivia flew out and ended up with this...

The picture does it NO justice. I couldn't get a good picture in the bad lighting- and Liv wouldn't let me turn on more lights. It was HUGE! It stuck out like an inch.I have never sceen such a bulging bump like that in my whole life. Liv was pretty brave. She didn't even cry much. By the next morning it was pretty much gone. Phew ;) I hate it when my babies get hurt. It is SO sad!
