Olivia was pretty sad when she first discovered we put up a baby gate. No more climbing stairs for Liv! It was a PAIN to put up that gate. Brett got pretty upset... We had a huge whole in the wall (but I fixed it) It was no fun, but it's up! YEA!

Sarah, Olivia is so freaking cute! Even when she cries she is cute! She just looks so sweet. That's sad and funny about the gate. Love you!
Is she really crying because she can't get up the stairs or is she crying because of something else? What happened with the hole? How did you fix it??? How does your gate work, anyway? I can see that it's attached to the wall...
okay okay, so she was really crying because Brett got out the vaccume (she hates it)BUT she really was upset about the gate. The gate has a weird handle that you pull up on and it opens the gate.. It's kinda annoying. I fixed the wall with wall stuff, whatever that white putty stuff is.
Poor, poor Livie. Don't you terrorize my grandbaby with the vacuum. You could have bad results. Dexter is scarred for life now from vacuum teasing...he charges at it and bites the vacuum bag! ;) ha
You broke her little heart. I need to come up and give her a big hug.
what a mean mom and dad she has...;). I have heard those gates are a pain to install. sounds like you are quite the fix it girl sarah.
Re: the vacuum cleaner. You might want to leave it out so she gets used to seeing it. I'm not sure how to desensitize her to the noise it makes though! It's probably a good idea to take her into another room and let her see it working from afar, not just turn it on and vacuum around her. I've seen her reaction to it. She really is scared by it.
Sarah, I just remembered my kids were afraid of the vaccuum to. You should get her a mini kid vaccuum. That helped my kids a lot. They make them with the real noises. They love that they are just the right size and they stop being afraid of the big one. I know, I know...I'm brilliant.
Boy, I sure hope so Tracey. I can't handle the memory of that rigid little baby body quivering in terror! She even shakes her little hands!
Oh Sarah, can you please put up a HAPPY picture of dear sweet baby Olivia? This picture just makes me want to grab a plane and run and hug and cuddle this poor wee one! Well, I'd want to do that even if she weren't crying...
