Livie being shy- her favorite word to mostly everyone was "NO" She wanted people to stay away!

Fransisco searching for the garter... Where'd he go!?

Fransisco did quite the dance with my mom. He is not shy to say the least when on the dance floor!
that last post was posted by my mom. She was accidently signed in under my name.... that's why the 'I's and ' "my parents" kind of stuff doesn't really make sense! I will post some of my own soon!
Ok. Ok. I know you want pictures, Lanette. I understand! I really do. (I get impatient for other people to post too). So here's a couple of teasers for you. Here are Em and Francisco coming out of the temple. I'm sure we have better pics but this is what I can come up with now... I still have company and will have to post more later. Sarah will probably post some soon too.I love how my parents are looking at us like we're crazy!
Emily said... "Everybody kiss!"
So... Sarah and Brett kissed
Livie: "And just who am I supposed to kiss?"
Francisco and Emily managed a a really good kiss (of course).
I laughed.
Tim looks like he's thinking: "What, now? Are you serious?"
But Jeff and his girlfriend have the best expressions of all.
This photo makes me laugh out loud every time I see it.
More later...
Emma's bridal shower was last week. I'm glad it's done. It turned out pretty well. I made some cookies, a fruit tart, and some punch. We played 'gift bingo' and Emily had to tell us about Fransisco- I made a little video of him answering him some pretty simple questions. Emma got about half wrong ;) It was fun and we are ready for the wedding now!!
Well- a lot has happened recently. I couldn't sleep last night because there was just SOO much to think about! I think I will just list the latest events...
1 My Dad is getting baptized! Now- some of you may not know that my Dad is not a member of the LDS church, but he has recently decided to get baptized and become one of us! It really was shocking to me, I wasn't really expecting it... but I couldn't be happier for him- and our family! It is SUCH a blessing. In a year we will be sealed in the temlpe. Words can't describe this. I wish I could express my emotions better, but words aren't enough.
2 Emily's bridal shower is this week. I am in charge being the 'maid of honor'. I shouldn't be worried, which I'm not, it's just one more thing to think about and plan..
3 Brett accepted a new job. It is a longer comute. It is about 35 minutes North. It has pretty good benefits and we are excited about it. If you know me- you will know why I'm not saying WHERE this new job is or any of the towns. Sorry, I am paranoid..
4 We might MOVE... Well, since Brett has this new job we have been looking at homes closer to the job. I LOVE where we live- I love our neighbors, our ward and the area. I don't love Brett having to comute though. We actually found a house that will be forclosed soon. It is REALLY nice, in a perfect location with a beautiful view. It is being listed for $200,000 less then it was appraised for. So- tomorrow our house may go on the market and we could be moving REAL fast if all works out. It is scary. We don't know what to expect. All I know is that I have to get our house SUPER clean and staged for selling by like tomorrow... AAH!
5 Fathers Day next Sunday. I haven't even stared to think about this. It's a bit overwhelming to me.
6 We are flying out to Oregon in just a few weeks for Emma's wedding. With all the comotion of house selling/buying and everything else, this is becoming one BUSY June!
7 On top of every thing else- I think about this new baby, and trying to not be sick. The past few days I haven't been too sick at all- maybe because I'm too busy to think about it ;)
I just HAVE to announce the big news. I am SO bad at holding it in... I'm PREGNANT! I am due January 1, 2009. Yes, it's not my preferred due date seeing as we could have a Christmas baby. Poor child, but we'll hope for the best on that! I am feeling alright- some days I could die and others I'm just fine. Mostly we're just really excited and happy about it!
We started our morning by clipping Olivia's long toe nails. I figured out that if she got to watch TV and eat jelly beans, she'd let me clip her toes. That's when I noticed this.... We don't know HOW she got it..Hmmm..
Well, I got all the bushes and flowers in. It was a LOT of hard work. As you may notice in the picture... I dug out a lot of the old dirt and bark dust... then put down a weed mat, then put 6 inches of lots of good soil, vermiculite, peet moss, and compost. Oh, I also dug the huge holes for the bushes and put those in. So, after about 12 hours of working on the garden area- I think it's going to turn out! The GREAT thing about it is that I will have little to no weeding because of the weed mat. Yes, it was A LOT of extra work doing it this way, but it will save me TONS of time later since I will never need to till the dirt, or weed. It's great! So- I will take pictures later in the year when the flowers are grown and look pretty. Right now they are itty bitty!
So- I realized I never did update everyone on the San Diego job offer. We turned them down and they had no return offer, so as of now, we are NOT moving. YESS! I really don't like moving. It's not easy and fun for me. We are still trying to figure out where Brett will work permenantly. So... he's on the job hunt. He has work until December and he has a couple other job offers. We'll just have to wait and see which ones work out best.
We will be out in Oregon in June for Emmas wedding. She gets married Saturday June 28th, and we will be staying from the Tuesday before to the Wedenesday after. So- plan on us!!
If you're wondering about any other updates.. let me know, I can't think of anything else!

She LOVED being the center of all the attention!

Well- I took Emma and Fransisco's engagement pictures last Sunday.. To be honest, I was a little dissapointed in them. I was trying to get just a basic good picture of both of them smiling and not so much creative shots... I figured they would end up using one where they both just looked there best and not so much the creative 'cool' looking picture. I think I should have been a LITTLE more creative with it though... Oh-well. Anyway- these 2 are probably my favorite... I think! I have no idea which ones they like though!
Sea World Dolphin Show from Sarisker on Vimeo.
We thought the dolphins at Sea World were pretty cool. Olivia really like the show. Don't you just love her little dance and clapping!? Ah, she's growing up on us... time for another one! (no, that is not an announcement!)
