Girl Friends

These are Olivia's best friends at school right now. Londyn and Maddison. They write each other love notes, talk about which boys they  "are in love with",do make-up, have friendship bracelets, etc. When I say write love notes, I am  always finding notes from her friends that say "To:Olivia Love:____ I love you. You rock!" and they always include some sort of picture. They remind me so much of my friends growing up ;) So happy she has great friends!

Growing like a weed

I read in a book awhile back (don't remember which book) the girl was saying "I don't know why anyone would compare their child to a weed" It seems so obvious to me- you pick a weed and you turn around and it's grown huge again. You just don't know how it got so large so fast! That is what my children are doing.. growing so fast that I can't keep up! Every time I turn around I swear they grew an inch!

Meet Fishy Foo Foo

There he is. Our newest member of the family. Mr.Fishy Foo Foo. Claire earned him from potty training. She actually earned a "daughter date" but she kept saying she wanted to go fishing on our date. Since that isn't ideal in February, we got a fish instead. Put him in a trifle bowl and put him on the hutch.

Crazy Hair Day

It was Dr.Suess week at school. They got to have stripes day, crazy hair day, and pajama day. My favorite was of course getting to style Livs hair all crazy! I had so much fun!!We did french braids down the sides and a curly mohawk down the middle. And Liv still looked crazy beautiful, even with crazy cool hair!

Best of Friends

Meet Grace- Claires best friend. She also happens to be her cousin! Grace and Claire LOVE to play together. When they get together their is lots of squeeling and running and laughter. We got to have Grace for the day and Claire was in heaven! They had so much fun together, and for their age, did amazingly well about not fighting about a thing! 

This was "rest" time. I thought they may take a nap... but no, they ate raisins while the watched 'Tinker Bell'. As soon as the raisins ran out, they were up and away. I put them back, but with no success. It was just too much fun to run and play I guess ;)

Emma is now 6 months! I have tried giving her some solids. She is not fond of eating quite yet! She will only try things from my finger. If I put it on the spoon she refuses to even try it! Funny girl. The Dr said to not worry and she will eat when she is ready, so I won't push it. Maybe Em will be my first to have trouble eating? The other girls are super eaters, so we shall see!

Gymnastics

 

We have finally put the girls in a class! We went back and forth deciding if we wanted to do a dance class, ballet class, or gymnastics. We finally settled on Gymnastics. The girls LOVE it! Olivia is so excited to go every week. It is great to watch her. She is so determined and never gives up on anything! She truly loves doing it! Claire is really catching on too. The first time she cried and wouldn't do most things and now (4 weeks in) she does it all! She even jumped into the foam pit from a tower that is about 12 ft. high! CRRRAZY! Seriously, I think I would even get a big adrenaline rush jumping from that thing! I would love gymnastics even more if it weren't costing us an arm and a leg. It is freaking expensive, but worth it for now since the girls love it so much. Good thing Emma is too small to know, because we can't afford 3 in gymnastics!!

Cousins

This is not the best picture of cousins Emma and Henry, but whatever! Henry and Emma were born only 2 weeks apart. We love having Grace and Henry so close to play with. Too bad Scott will be taking his family to Michigan soon to finish up school to become an ophthalmologist. We are happy for them. Hopefully they come back to Utah when they are done in Michigan ;)

I thought that was so cute! I like how she wrote that we have fun 3 times! She is too sweet! She is getting soo smart too! She wrote these and many other notes all by herself! She is really getting good about spelling and punctuation! Go Livvy!

Success!

Claire has been potty training all week. The last few days she has finally taken to it! FINALLY!! It has been a long road just trying to get her to recognize her body signals. She had many days of trying here and there with absolutely so success. No pees or poos in the potty.  She finally gets it now though!! Oh yeah!
And Claire- I know some day you will be embarrassed that your buns were posted on the internet... but it's how you have ran around the last week. We've seen those buns a little too much lately! They sure are CUTE though!!

Winter fun

It has been a very unusual winter here in Utah this year. We have had NO snow yet! We have had a few frosting like snows, but nothing that you have to shovel. It is crazy! I will be honest, I don't mind one bit!

The other day I told Claire I wanted to take a picture of her pretty face and like always she replied "I not pretty, I Claire!" She says that if you give her any compliment. According to her, she is not pretty, funny, cute, etc.... she is JUST Claire!

This picture made me laugh. Claire 'attacks' as I call it, Emma all day long! She always says "oh oh oh oh, I gonna hug you Emma..... oh oh oh oh, I gonna kisssss you Emma! oh oh oh, touch you Emma!" And then she promptly hugs, kisses and touches Emma as much as she can before I pull poor Emma away. Depending on how Emma is feeling she usually just sits there and takes it!

I had to take a picture of Olivia eating her pizza lunchable the other day. She LOVES them and when I ask her what I should get for lunches and dinners this is the only thing she ever asks for. We don't get them often, so it is a treat for her!

We took our family picture on New Years Eve. Hopefully this time I actually get it up on the mantle over the fireplace... I just ordered it at Costco. Now I just have to get a frame!

Emma had her 4 month check up today, and her 4 month photo shoot a few days ago. She is just so beautiful. If only the girls would help me to get her to smile for a photo shoot! I will try for some smiling pictures another time! Emma is a great little babe. She is very attentive. She will watch TV, listen to stories and look at the pictures. She is just very focused! She is in general a happy little girl! She loves to talk. She babbles away for most of the day. She loves to be rocked to sleep and I spoil her by doing it. She is just so good that I almost feel like I am punishing her making her lie in bed crying! She has also recently discovered toys and loves to grab at things. She laughs a lot at the girls. Claire loves to make her laugh and it is funny to watch them interact.

At her party. She had her cousin Grace and Aunt and Uncle come along with Grandma and Grandpa. Her favorite people ;)

Claire turned 3 today! Wow! 3 whole years with our precious Claire. Claire has grown up SO much this past year. Her speech has gone from 0-5 words to full out sentences and a huge vocabulary. She has worked so hard on learning to speak. Claire is a great sister. She gives both her "sissys" kisses and hugs daily. She also shares VERY well. She is very giving. She has grown up physically a lot too. Her hair has started to really come in. She can now wear a pony tail! She is orderly and likes to organize her toys. Too bad she only puts them in order while she is playing... we are still working on putting the toys away! She is very sweet and loves to snuggle. She has really come out of her shell this past year too. She is no longer very shy. She will play with most anyone and adapts well to new situations. We love you Claire!

We have been busy...

spreading Christmas cheer... neighbor gifts this year

receiving secret elf gifts on our door step! The girls were SO excited and were yelling "THANK YOU SECRET ELFS!" out the door

wathcing movies on moms new smart phone! I got it for free, and it actually saves us money on our monthly phone bill... sweet! The only problem is that now that I have access to e-mail, FB, and blog reading on my phone I don't come down to the big computer to post blogs.... I will have to do better!

changing baby buns. This was the craziest blow out I had seen in awhile...

leaving out cookies and carrots for santa and the reindeer. Liv wrote a note to Santa telling him where the potty was just in case he needed one! She even drew a picture of the toilet!

Christmas morning. Claire has a LOT of new babies and is in LOVE with them! She got one a few weeks ago when she went shopping at the store and used her binkies to pay for a new baby. She was having lots of anxiety about her birthday and cutting binkies on her b-day. So she decided she would rather use her binkies to buy a new baby doll. She has done great! We have been binky free for 3 weeks now! As for the other babies- she got "lala lucy" from Santa and the other baby from the secret elf.

Dear Santa...

She has actually changed her mind about what she wants. Lucky for us, it's $25 cheaper then that Gogo Walk'n' pup ;) The picture she drew is of Santa and his reindeer flying over houses.
