Well- I have been busy. I sanded and put primer on the Hutch. I think it is going to be white. I am actually taking the back part of it out and putting bead board on the back instead. It is just what it needs to update it a little!
I also think I have selected a paint color for the living room. I have been looking and looking for quite a while now. I think this is it. It looks a little bluer in the picture then in real life. The color is "Time Capsule" by KWAL. (which doesn't seem like that great of paint by the way) I am thinking of doing a bead board in the living room too. What do you think? Too much? I don't know.
I need to decide if I should paint the blue in the kitchen too. Does it look awful next to the ugly yellowish wood? That is what the cabinets are made out of too. I am going to paint the fire place white. Maybe some day I will paint the cabinets too!! (If Brett allows it)

Yay! I think your hutch will look great! And yes, go for the beadboard in the family room and in the hutch. Your fireplace will look awesome white (and so would your cabinets... I've tried to convince Nic ours would too!) How fun!
I like the blue paint with the wood. I am hesitant to paint wood because it's hard to undo but do whatever makes you happy.
ok- you are talking to the LOVER of bead board- I LVE LVE LOVE bead board- but- I love that shabbier look- I LOVE it- I think it would look so amazing if you did the bead board- white- and that blue on the walls- I think with the fireplace it looks fine with the yellow- but it would look AMAZING, new and fresh and clean and modern with the white, so if you could do that sooner than later......and ofcourse white kitchen cabinets would be wonderful too. love it all! DO IT!
