Rainy Days

the hutch before...

The hutch after! It is done. I like it- it is very bright! I still need to find the right knobs for it. What do you think?

Mothers Day I woke up throwing up. I felt awful and spent most of the day in bed. I'm feeling much better today though ;) Brett was a big help and watched and took care of the girls all day. Today is rainy. The girls are bored and keep begging to play in the sand box. I think not...

Very pretty! It looks so transformed! What do you plan for knobs? I think glass ones in a bluish color would be really pretty--kind of old-fashioned.

I love that picture of the girls--it's wonderful. It speaks volumes. (Also love Claire's t-shirt)

Also, I'm glad you're feeling better! I forgot to say that. In addition, I was excited to see a hydrangea in Utah--even if it is in a pot. I guess I could have one that way if I ever move to your area. Seriously, that is the one thing I would miss here--hydrangeas! I don't think they survive Utah winters...

looks great. anthropologie has lots of great knobs.

olivia looks like a little teenager standing there, she's really growing up (and it looks like her hair has grown a ton!)

I thought Olivia looked older too-- just the way she's standing. Yikes! No! She looked like Claire just a few months ago it seems.

I love the Anthropologie knobs. I chose a green daisy one on the first page. Don't know what I'd put it on but I was enamored with it. I'm sure I can find about 20 more I like a lot too!

love the hutch - it looks great! antique knobs would look lovely & unique - or you could go more contemporary and just do brushed nickel, simple but still classy.

love the pics of the girls!

Karen- there are hydrangeas "mutated" to grow here is NV so I'm sure they would grow in UT.

Really, Kristin??? Yay! I'll have to look into that. I've never seen them in Utah. Then again, it seems hardly anyone 'landscapes' in Utah. Maybe it just seems that way cuz there's not as much green as we have here. :) Sarah, Anthropologie has great ideas for curtains for your slider too! Fun site.

Your hutch turned out great!! The bead board totally updated it. I am finding more and more that I really love white accents in homes... cabinets, framework, molding, etc. Our new place has all white cabinets and even though you can tell they're older, the white paint and some new hardware completely updates the look. Can't wait to see the finished product in your living room.

I LOVE LVE LOVE the hutch! It looks so good! I LOVE white- and it makes it look like you got it somewhere nice and expensive- and I love that look- the shabby/country look- I love it. That's so awful you woke up throwing up- why? food poisoning or just sick?
