Party!

Olivia turns 3 on the 15th of August, but we had a party for her a little early this year. My mom was in town, so she got an early party!

This was the scooter Olivia has been dreaming of for months now. She has waited and waited so patiently to get it. She even cut all her binkies to get it! It has not been an easy transition to being binky-less. She regrets her decision!

Here is her Barbie cake I made her. It is not as beautiful as I had dreamed.. nor as easy as I thought! Note to self- do not buy frosting color yellow just because it is on sale! I wish it were prettier colors... There were many hard-ships making this cake... having to make 2 cakes, Barbie tipping over, frosting melting off... Barbie being too tall, ugly Lakers color frosting... etc.

That's so funny (laker colors) You did a good job! The barbie cake is not an easy one to do and if you didn't take a cake decorating class, you should pat yourself on the back for it! Kudos to you! Happy birthday to your sweet Olivia!

That is so funny. I loved the cake. It had character! I particularly loved when Brett saw it half naked in the fridge and then later when her toes emerged after cutting it. I'm curious as to what's happening with Olivia's binky-less efforts? Is she still sneaking Claire's? I thought I had video of upside down in the carseat at the bowling alley but it didn't work! I am so bummed out about that. I've been telling everyone about that little episode. She's so cute...and desperate for a binky fix!

Happy Birthday Olivia!! I can't believe she is 3. Holy cow! I think you did a great job on the cake! I bet Olivia just LOVED it. She will soon forget about the binky's, I'm sure.

It's so sad--I wrote a big huge comment on this post the other day and the internet cut off right when I tried to post it. Oh well. Basically all I was going to say was I think the cake looks awesome! (Go Lakers! ha :) and I hope that the binky withdrawals are over. And beautiful pictures! Your girls are both so pretty, just like their mom :)
