Our Front Yard... HELP!

pansies up close.. I just planted them a few days ago, so we'll see how they grow!

These are some pictures of our front yard. I really want to plant some more stuff in the bark-dust part. We are going to dig out all the bark dust and put in potting soil. So- I don't know WHAT to plant and where. I want some shrubberies, bushes, beautiful crawling plants that climb up that pole thing on our house, and some flowers. I want it to be green and lush and beautiful! I don't know what plants do well in Utah, and they have to be FULL sun plants too, because this part of the yard is always sunny. So- any suggestions!? My mom said she will help me when she comes out in April. Woohoo! We just need to figure out what to plant.

Field Trip!

Today we went on a field trip with our neighbors Hannah and Natalie. The girls had fun looking at all the animals. Olivia was a little scared at first though, but as always she warmed up quickly.

Our Easter

For Easter this year we went to our 8:30 am church... which was good, but Olivia was sick so she couldn't go into nursery. She is SOO crazy and is a wild child when she has to sit with us in class. She does anything BUT sit with us.. Oh-well. After church we took naps. After naps we had a mini egg hunt for Olivia (which are all the pictures above!) After the egg hunt it was off to Scott and Britta's for Easter dinner. Britta made the tables beautiful and we had lots of good food. In fact later that night I was wondering why I looked 3 months pregnant. (I think I ate a little TOO much!) So, I ran longer and faster today and I've vowed to eat well for at least a week!! (meaning NO sugar!) Anyway... back to Easter! So- we had LOTS of family. Emily and Fransisco came, Brett's parents, Amy, and Brett's cousins- the Beans- came too. There were about 18 people. It was fun. After dinner we played games and walked around the farm that Scott and Britta live on. (the picture of Brett and Liv is on the farm) It was a fun evening. The last picture of the cupcake are the cup cakes I made for dessert. They were just too cute not to make! They are little birds nests!

Lately Olivia has really LOVED baby dolls. NOT real babies (for the record, she is quite jealous of them if I ever get the chance to hold one... little turkey!) She loves to dance with her babies, play ring around the rosies and at the end THROW her babies to the floor. She also likes the motherly things like feeding them, and giving them binkys. She LOVES to wrap them in blankets. She also rocks them to sleep... under her arm-pit! Anyway- she only had 1 baby, but the other night after The Eldredges watched her, she came home with a NEW baby! Her name is Baby Beans and she is VERY popular. The neighbor girl LOVES her, and so does Livie.. so a few fights have broken out over Baby Beans. Pretty much 90% of all of Olivia's toys have come from the Eldredges... they are too good to us ;) We love you guys!

I am not happy

I tried to change my template.. and I didn't like it, so I tried to go back to the old one... OH BROTHER! It deleted ALL my links. I had 30 links. I TRIED for the past hour now to get them all back, but I only have 26. So, if your missing, please tell me. I don't know who is missing from the list now... GRRRR. This has made me VERY irritated!

Doing the Dishes

The other day Liv was upset that I was doing dishes without her. I felt bad, so I let her help out. She started out sitting on the counter 'helping' and ended up in the sink playing with the water! She's such a funny little bean!

My First Photo-Shoot

So, my neighbor asked if I would take some pictures of her girls for some gifts and for the annual photos for the wall. It was lots of fun. I could definitely have fun doing this professionally! (I need lots more practice first though!)

Just for the record...

Olivia ate deep-fried SQUID, and LIKED it! After the sealing we went out to eat and someone else ordered squid and had left-overs. Olivia ate it... I wouldn't even try it. They were SO sick looking! They looked just like baby octopus covered in breading. Livie sure is a good eater!!

Today we were able to attend the sealing of Calvin to his parents Jeff and Nettie (Jeff is Brett's brother). It was really cool to be able to go to. I've never been to a family sealing and the spirit was very strong. I know that even though Calvin isn't biologically related to his parents, he is 100% meant to be in their family. Calvin was SO happy and smiling the whole time. He is such a cutie! We had a good time. We are so thankful for our family. We love them a lot. Oh, and a BIG thank you to Amy for watching Sam and Livie while we went to the sealing. We love you!!

Is It Spring Yet?

We have wanted spring and summer to come SOOO bad this past month. We had another snow storm on Friday night, but it was only an inch or so. We are hoping there will be NO MORE snow. This has been the snowiest winter I think I've ever had. It was fun for about 3 months, but we're DONE!!! By the way- don't be offended.. but I took links off my links list of you don't ever update your blog. I will put it back if you start updating ;)
