Christmas Events

1- Christmas Eve- the girls opened new matching PJ's. Livie loves them- and has worn them 3 nights in a row! New pj's is a Cristmas tradition.
2- Liv got new bubble bath from Santa. She said "I think I am stinky. I need a bath!" All she really wanted was to try out her new bubbles! She made Claire beards, hats, and "tails" with her bubbles!
3- We finally got a sled. With all our snow and our hill behind our house it was about time!
4- Christmas Eve we made cookies and put them out for Santa. We even put out a carrot for the rein deer.

We went to the "Polar Express" a few weeks back with Grandma and Papa and cousins Jill and Camille. The girls (Olivia and Jillian) LOVED it. They took a train ride (a very slow ride I might add) to see the North Pole. Santa came aboard the train and handed out bells. We had cocoa and cookies as treats. The ride was a little on the long side (1 1/2 hours) but the girls enjoyed themselves. Jillian even sang on the microphone Twinkle Twinkle Little Star for all the passengers aboard!

Baby Luke has Arrived!

Francisco and Emily welcomed baby Luke Javier Darquea this morning at 5:02 am.
Emma's water broke at 3:00 am and by the time she got to the hospital she had Luke with just 4 pushes! There was no time for an epidural! If you go natural that is the best way to do it- FAST! Luke is SO darling and tiny! He grunts a lot. What a sweet sweet little man. We can't wait to baby- sit!!

Christmas Cards

Well- the Christmas cards are out.. If you did not recieve one it is because I either don't have your address, or it is not current! So- e-mail me at Sarahthy5@yahoo.com if you didn't get one! We don't want ANY one left out.. so really, e-mail me.
On a side note I was VERY upset at how DARK the darn photo Christmas card was. The picture just got SO dark when it was printed. I was mad, but didn't care TOO much to re-print, and I sent them anyway!!

All I want for Christmas is...

A Christmas Dress!

Now that she has one I'm not sure what Santa should bring! If you are going to have a Christmas dress you have to wear it to church and parties BEFORE Christmas, right!? Anyway- it really is all she wants for Christmas!

Lights at Temple Square

We saw the lights at temple square in SLC last Saturday. They were beautiful. It was chilly, but not too bad. It is nice living so close to these touristy type things!

Pictures with Grandma

My parents came out for Thanksgiving. How nice of them to drive 15 hours to see us! Anyway- my mom wanted some pictures with her favorite grandbabies! These are a few of my favorites.

Grateful

I love my Claire -bear. She makes me smile, even when I am crabby. I can't help but be in a better mood when she flashes me one of her grins! What a sweet pea!

We had Em's baby shower this last Saturday. A huge snow storm blew in that day, after a few weeks of BEAUTIFUL weather. The party turned out good. I am not the best party thrower- my parties aren't very lively. Hmm, I will need to work on that!

Pre-School

Olivia is loving her pre-school. The kids get along pretty well. They love to play games together, and on this occasion we made popcorn for snack time. Who knew kids would just LOVE plain popcorn with just a pinch of salt? They thought it was so exciting and fun to watch it pop. Yesterday we went on a field trip to the Bean Museum at BYU. They have lots of dead stuffed animals. Lovely, ey? Our favorite part was when we got to see a LIVE turtle and snake. Okay- so not the snake, but the turtles were cute!

Go Cougars!

We went to our first basketball game of the season. With both girls! They actually did pretty great. If only Liv could get over her fear of different pottys then we'd be set!

Claires Twin

This is one of our neighbors Gretchen- I think she looks so much like Claire! She is about 5-6 months older, but she still looks so similar!

Winner!

Olivia colored a turkey for a contest. No- she is not a winner... Because the people you are supposed to turn it into didn't want it! The young teenagers at Hogi Yogi were unaware that they were supposed to take it when we brought it in. Instead they gave Liv a free cookie and said we could keep the drawing. We wanted to win! How will we win if she can't turn it in!? Oh-well- maybe we will get it into another Hogi Yogi that knows what they are doing!

Yes- she colored it all by herself! Pretty good if you ask me!

We had a great Halloween! The weather was perfect! Just the day before it was snowing/raining so we got so lucky that it was warm! Liv got to go trick-or treating and loved it (for about 1/2 hour) After that Emma and Francisco came over we had dinner, made caramel apples and watched 'The Forgotten' It was a fun evening!

For F.H.E. we did pumpkin carving. Olivia would have nothing to do with "the yucky messy stuff" inside the pumpkin! So- she painted hers. She does love to draw and paint, so for her it worked out well. Today it snowed! We can't believe winter is practically here. Crazy!
