We had a great Halloween! The weather was perfect! Just the day before it was snowing/raining so we got so lucky that it was warm! Liv got to go trick-or treating and loved it (for about 1/2 hour) After that Emma and Francisco came over we had dinner, made caramel apples and watched 'The Forgotten' It was a fun evening!

For F.H.E. we did pumpkin carving. Olivia would have nothing to do with "the yucky messy stuff" inside the pumpkin! So- she painted hers. She does love to draw and paint, so for her it worked out well. Today it snowed! We can't believe winter is practically here. Crazy!

Lost

Today we went on our first pre-scool field trip to Cornbellys. It was also a first for getting lost. Olivia was playing on a train thing with friends. The next thing I know I can't find her. Unfortunately for me- there is a GINORMOUS corn maze just a hop skip and a jump from where we were playing. So- off I go into the very large corn maze- meant to get people LOST! I was frantic. I prayed a lot. Finally I ran into a guy that said he had heard something on the intercom about a lost girl. I ran to the entrance of the place. There she was. Not scared, just bored. I am still not sure what happened.. how she got lost or who found her. I am just SOOO thankful this is a story that I can say "remember when.." rather then being on Oprah as the mom who lost her daughter.
I hated every minute of this incident. I love my little Livie too much to lose her. Oh- on a side note the whole ordeal lasted about 15 minutes (I think,, maybe it was 20? It felt like forever!)

Family Photos

I took some family photos for our friends this evening. They are such a cute family. I had to put some pics up for them to see so they didn't have to wait too long to see at least a few!

Claires stats (10 month)

So- here are Claires 10 month stats even though she is still only 9 1/2 months old...
Head: 17.5 inches (59%)
Weight: 18 lbs (31%)
Length: 28.5 inches (74%)

Claire can...
-Eat like a cow. She LOVES to eat. She is eating real solids now like cracker and bananas- and learning SO fast. She is starting to get a little blocked up from it. Any suggestions?
-She crawls like crazy
-I think she is sleeping through the night again (I haven't been turning the monitor on)
-She loves to see sister... Livie ALWAYS makes her smile (and makes her cry the most too!)
-Although she saves her smiles, she is pretty content most of the time
-She drools constantly and I have to change her bib 2x a day because it gets soaked
-She says lots of jibberish but I'm not sure if any means much yet

What a fun Girl!

This is what you find when a 3 year old gets into your night-stand. My glasses and journal (she KNOWS it is MY "coloring book" but she chooses to ignore that!

Olivia slept in her bed ALL by herself all night long to get this pretty polish in the morning! Yea! Go Livie!!

Trying to catch the quirks

Today Olivia and I tirelessly tried to get Claire to smile for a picture. Not just ANY smiling picture, but one of her latest smiles. She scrunches her nose and smiles with all she has. It is SOO cute. We could not get her to do it even after trying for an hour. She is so solemn. Her smiles are genuine- she doesn't smile for just anything! We will get it soon enough though! Also- she has a tounge thing she has been doing lately. That also I will try to catch on film ;)

Here is an ALMOST smile that I wanted to catch. It is not nearly as cute as the real thing though. This was a half smile!

(on a side note I accidently shot all pictures with an ISO of 1600 therefore they have a lot of noise (graininess) but I kinda like the old fashioned look of it!)

Cute Belly!

Emma and I have been planning to do a maternity photo shoot for awhile now. We were on the phone the other day and decided that night we could do it. Sadly it was already 5:45 and to meet together takes about 45 minutes. By the time we both got to the canyons the sun had pretty much set. It was already pretty dark so the pictures didn't turn out as well. We'll probably try again later! Isn't she SO cute? I can only imagine how cute Luke will be ;)

Daddy Daughter Dates

A few weeks ago Brett and Olivia got to go to a ward Daddy Daughter Camp Out. They had lots of fun hiking and eating smores. Apparently Olivia was very shy and did not want to participate in any activities, but that is okay. They stayed up late telling stories and talking. Olivia has a fear of foreign toilets lately and therefore would NOT go pee. Brett brought the portable toilet but she was too scared to go in that in the tent. So, she held it. ALL night and half the morning. Finally she couldn't hold it any more and said she HAD to go. She filled the portable potty to its limit ;) Crazy girl! I'm glad she didn't go in her pants instead!
Brett and Livie plan to go on a date once a month from now on. Next they think they will go to Kangaroo Zoo- a jumping air-filled balloon place.

First Day of Pre-School

Olivia started a home-based pre-school this week. It is with 4 other moms so we will be switching houses each week. It is 1 day a week for 1 1/2 hours.
Highlights of Olivia's 1st day:

Mom- "What do you want to wear for your first day of pre-school!?"
Olivia "Purple Panties."

-When we passed the Elementary school and pulled up to a house she said "It's at a house?"

-There were no tears shed by either Olivia or I because we were both SO excited!

Favorite

I love Claires age right now. I just love her 2 little teeth. It is just the cutest stage! She is ALMOST crawling, and she lives to eat. Still nursing every 2 hours and eats solids 2 times a day! She has figured out how to drink from a staw (she would do anything to drink sweet liquids!)
