First Party

Olivia attended her first Birthday party today. Her friend Claire from nursery turned 3! Elmo came to the party! It was pretty awesome! Livie wouldn't get near him at all. By the end of the pary she warmed up to him enough to say "HI ELMO! I'm doin' GOOD!"

A shout out to Brett

Well- with my last post being all about my past loves.... I feel to make a post about the love of my life- my husband! I took some cute pictures of him last night, and some how they were erased off my card! Grr! Anyway... I also can not find my 'Brett Journal' therefore I can not snan in an entry proving how much in love I was and am with him! My Brett is amazing. I will start with why I fell in love with him in the first place. He is HOT! He is a good kisser (have you sceen those lips!?) He is so sweet and nice to EVERY one. He is so righteous and always making the right choices. He is very smart. He has always made wise decisions about $ and is so financially smart. He is very boyish (meaning he is athletic, likes to get dirty and doesn't mind breaking an ankle as long as he was having fun at the time). Now I will tell you why I am even more in love now... He is an amazing father. He lets me take Sunday naps and will watch the girls for me. He wakes up in the night to help with the girls. He plays with Olivia- they both always have fun together. He makes dinner if I am to lazy to do it. He hardly ever whines. He is generally happy and positive. He is still HOT, and a good kisser ;) There are so many other reasons why I love him, but I will leave it at that. Love you Brettsker.

To Good to be True...

Claire and Olivia switched rooms on Saturday. Olivia said her room was "Too Windy". Both girls were sleeping in the front room. I would usually be sleeping with Olivia in her bed and waking up to feed Claire every so often, and trying to get her down to sleep some times for hours and hours. Both girls have some sleep issues. Olivia just has a hard time in her "big girl" bed- well any bed for that matter. Claire has actually slept really well through the night- it's just getting her to fall asleep that is the hard part. Anyway... the good news...
Both Claire and Olivia have slept in there OWN beds mostly through the night for 2 days now! Oh, and I have slept in my own bed too! How wonderful!! I hope it continues. Olivia seems to really like her new room. She even wanted to nap in there today instead of on the couch (She has been getting away with that since I just didn't want to hear the screaming any more) Now if only I could make my bad dreams go away. I had a dream that my mom bought me cats. It was a night mare- really, I woke up crying.

This year for Easter we had every one up at our house. Emma and Francisco, Bretts paretns, and Amy all came to celebrate. We had a traditional meal with ham (thanks Ma!) We played Monopoly and just had fun hanging out. We love having at least some family around here!

Easter Egg Hunt

We got to go to the park this morning for an egg hunt and breakfast. Our neighborhood does it every year in the park down the road. Olivia was super excited. She could hardly sleep. The first words out of her mouth this morning was "Egg Hunt!?" She had a fun time. Holidays are so much funner with children!

Baby Hands

One of my FAVORITE things in the world is little baby hands. I love love love them. They are SO soft and usually kinda cold. I love to kiss them and hold them. I love that they will always hold your finger tightly. They are just so sweet. Anyway- I'm always taking pictures of Claires' hands, but I find them a little boring so I don't post them. The last set of pics I took though just didn't turn out too great, so hands it is! The girls just had funny looks in all the pictures. The sun was too bright! (Which means it was sunny- which makes me HAPPY!!) We do have storms again for Easter weekend. Rats. I hope it doesn't rain for the egg hunt. Olivia is SOOO excited about it!
Oh- and take note of my LONG nails!! My nails grow like crazy. Ever since I got pregnant with Olivia my nails have been long and strong. They used to ALWAYS break off. It is weird. I am always cutting them really short only to find a week later they are long again. It is kind of annoying really. This picture shows one week worth of growth. Crazy, huh.

I wanted a picture of Claires' eyes. I love them. I think they are the same as Bretts. They are shaped like little almonds, and I think they are so beautiful! Although, she does look just a bit cross eyed in this picture... oh-well!
