Look at our tulips- aren't they beautiful!? I love that we moved in not knowing that we had tulips and then, boom, all of a sudden up come beautiful flowers! How nice is that. Oh- and I love the weird purple flowers too. They were a fun surprise! I love these flowers that come yearly that you don't need to re-buy and plant each year.

I think the purple stuff might be phlox? I can't really tell and it's not something I've ever planted. The other blue/purple ones are grape hyacinth. We have those planted around our tulips too. Now...when they quit blooming, do not, I repeat, do NOT cut them down to the ground like I did when I first discovered tulips in our yard. ;) (It sure looked a lot prettier than letting them die down naturally.)
Oh and the word for flowers that come back every year: Perennials. :)
And, thank you for the new picture. That is just the cutest little girl in the picture! (Will you send it to me via email so I can see it larger?)
That is one heck of an AWESOME picture of the tulip...it's really focused in! You took a real sharp and excellent picture of it!
I must say you are an excellent photographer. I love the flowers, nice that you didn't have to plant them, not that you would have time with two beautiful little girls to run after, right? I know I wouldn't have. At least not this year.
Love that first tulip picture! I love bulbs and perennials too~! They are so fun... my kind of garden! (Only have to do the work once!)
Those are beautiful tulips! That whole area looks really neat.
