Have you ever made a blog, posted it, and then deleted it? Well- YES you have! (or atleast some of you!) I check my feed reader and I read all the blogs, then some times actually go the blog and the blog I read on the feed reader is GONE! IT appears some times you guys are erasing blogs! Silly.
Oh, and heres a question- if someone asks a question on your blog- where do you respond!? On their blog, or your own? It always confuses me.
AND, don't make fun of me- but I can NEVER remember when to use the right 'their there they're' Well- I do know the last one, but the other 2 confuse me so I try my best to never use the word. That is dumb huh.

Yes. I have erased blog posts. In fact I just erased one. Are you specifically speaking of your own ma? ;)
Re: answering questions. It's probably best to answer on your own blog cuz everyone else probably wants to know to. I try to check back to the blog if I've asked a question. It's just confusing when I'm reading someone's comments and all of a sudden there's a comment that has absolutely nothing to do with the post. That's not bad, but sometimes it just makes no sense! Anyway, I didn't know the answer to that question either so I guess I answered it for myself. :)
Third. "Their" is possessive as in "Their dog is really smelly." They're is "they are" and the other there covers everything else (such as "it's over there!"). Ah, but I've just brought up the question of 'its.' So I'll answer it!
The ONLY time you put an apostrophe in "its" is when you are saying "it is". Otherwise it's its! That is one that I used to get so confused about and now it's just easy. Does that make sense?
And for anyone reading the above, I just left out an "o" in too. I know how to use my "to's" too! ;) ;)
I had the same question about answering blogs too! Thanks to your mom for answering that question. Now I know too!
Ditto! Their means more than one person has something and there is a location. Thanks crazy high school Rhetoric teacher!
I remember from my junior high English teacher the following: "Weird is a weird word." It does not follow the rule 'I before E except after C.' I'll bet there are others too. I just remember 'weird.'
you make me smile
The English language really makes no sense at all. Some people from other countries have told me that English is one of the hardest languages to learn. Oh, and I usually respond to questions on the blog of the person that asked it.
=) wow a post and an English lesson! Sara I'm glad you brought up the where to answer a question on a blog? I don't know. If they have a blog I think you leave the answer as a comment on their blog so they will see it!
But...if you answer the question on their blog the rest of us who may also want to know the answer will have to try to figure out how to get to questioner's blog to find the answer! And it really stinks when their blog is private and we can't get there. :)I still think it's simpler if you just answer in the same place that the question is asked. So, now you can do that for me and for others you can do the other. hahaha. Now I'll bet you're more confused than ever!
geez, even I'm confused now. I never even worried about that before! I just answered it where ever it seemed most appropriate... o well.
I have always answered the question on the person's own blog. I don't always read all the comments people have made so I never thought about others wanting to know the answer too. Good point. Hmmm... I guess I'll have to start doing so.
Oooh, I just love to complicate things. I think that questions should be answered on the blog that they were generated from. However... sometimes someone may comment on my blog without expecting any kind of answer. If I want to comment back and make sure they get the message, I may do it on their blog. Just depends on the comment/situation. Ha! See...you're sunk--everything works. Whatever you do is RIGHT!!! Love ya.
