Claire is starting to try rice cereal. She doesn't like or dislike it- She is just learning how to eat it! And Livie is learning how to feed it to her ;)

Starting Solids
Claire is starting to try rice cereal. She doesn't like or dislike it- She is just learning how to eat it! And Livie is learning how to feed it to her ;)

Wow, she is eating already! You know I started Tony on solids at 4 months, but we were told to wait with Zachy until 6 months at the earliest because he was so chunky! I guess we will see how Haylee does!
Brandi- we were told to wait on all solids until 6 months EXCEPT for rice cereal. Rice cereal is really just to help them learn how to eat rather then really giving them nutrients. I think it is standard on most solids to wait until they can sit by themselves.
that's so cute! Be careful though, cuz I learned that you really shouldn't start solids until they can sit up by themselves... Choking hazard, maybe?
She has such beautiful eyes!!

Emma- it says on my box of rice cereal it is for "supported sitters" and the Dr said rice cereal was good to start feeding her too. I'm not too worried. I don't think she can choke on it... you can make it as soupy or as thick as you want. Thanks for the concern!
