So, I thought I'd write an actual "blog" rather then post pictures. I do feel pictures are funner, but I don't have any to post and I have some exciting news to share. No, I'm not pregnant (that came to mind when I said "exciting news", so I didn't want to get any ones hopes up ;)) Olivia is moving on to toddler-hood! She is officially 'talking'. What I mean by that is in the past week she has been repeating words and saying new things EVERY day. She probably says 1-2 new words a day. It is SO exciting! She is definately still LEARNING, but it is so fun to hear her little voice saying real words. Last night she said "dinner" when Daddy told her it was dinner time. Usually what happens is she repeats a word perfectly and we say "WOW, Good Job Olivia!" She says "OW!"(A.K.A. "wow") then she tries to say it again but it is 100% not the same word. For example last night she says " dinner!" Daddy: "Good Job" Olivia: "dee-ooo" Daddy "DINNER" Olivia: "Dinner!" It is SO fun to have her actually repeat us! She doesn't ALWAYS do it, but a lot more then before! So, of course she was saying words before, but she had a pretty small vocabulary, and it would take Liv's a LONG time to learn new words. She has also progressed to the new level of putting herself to sleep. This week I decided it was time to let go of 'snuggling nighty night time' I know MOST parents put there babies to sleep by themselves in their cribs from the beginning. NOT ME! (am I stupid, or do I just REALLY like to rock Liv's to sleep? I'm not sure..) EVERY day for naps and bedtime I would wrap Liv's in her blanket, feed her her bottle, stick the binky in, and wait for about 15 minutes before I carefully took her up to her crib to sleep. It is about a 45 minute thing. I really did enjoy it, but I think Olivia is getting WAY too big for this routine and she needs to learn to put herself down to sleep. She has been doing GREAT! I put her in the crib and she no longer screams bloody murder when I shut the door and leave her. I was very surprised when she didn't start crying. She is really growing up! So, I just wanted to say how proud I am of her. She is such a sweet little angel (most of the time) and she brings us SOO much joy. We love her so much.

amen to that
How fun! Pig tails and now talking! Olivia is growing up! Isn't it so fun to hear her talk and interact at a higher level. Each stage has been so fun.
talking is so fun. it seems like it happens overnight...then you are torn between wanting them to grow up and do more, and wanting them to stop growing up so fast.
She is the sweetest of the baby angels in my eyes. Then again, I'm not biased or anything!
I'm glad she's falling asleep on her own. It is comforting for US to rock them to sleep though, isn't it!
Careful...now that she's talking she'll repeat EVERYTHING you say. I can tell you that is pretty embarassing sometimes!
